Bedeutung nasschemischer Synthesen bei BNT
One of BNT’s special competencies is the wet-chemical synthesis of organometallic compounds. BNT has over 20 years of experience in the production of very pure and high-quality products – including catalysts for the chemical and pharmaceutical industries and glass coating.
Thanks to our location in the Bitterfeld-Wolfen Chemical Park, BNT has direct access to the relevant media and excellent prerequisites for a wide range of customer requirements, not only in the manufacturing process, but also in logistics or disposal.
Chemical syntheses play a key role for BNT as a central step in the manufacture of our products. Few companies can handle the difficult reactions and parameters of organometallics.
Equipment for Wet Chemical Synthesis at BNT
The processes are implemented in various reactor sizes – we use stirred reactors (in continuous and batch production), autoclaves, tubular reactors and pressure vessels. Coolable or heatable equipment allows reactions at target temperatures of 20 °C to 250 °C, pressures below one bar can also be realized. In addition, we are able to have gas phases react with liquid phases in stirring rectors. Inert conditions can be achieved with systems under nitrogen or argon.
Our production line has several raw material inlets for liquids, gases and solids as well as the possibility of dosing additives in different physical aggregate states of the raw materials.
The systems are controlled via a process control system, the stored data and trends in the process parameters enable good documentation and help in optimizing production. The systems offer possibilities for sampling and a BNT-owned laboratory with extensive equipment constantly analyzes the quality of production. The result is a very small number of complaints.
Capabilities at BNT – Wet Chemical Synthesis Processes
In the production of our standard organometallic products we synthesize tin variants with different ligands. This accumulated know-how is available to customers for other processes – on a laboratory scale up to the production of 1000 tons per year per product. We can also perform all reactions with solvents.
