1998 – Founding
BNT was founded in 1998 to manufacture alkyl chlorides and organotin products for a wide range of applications. The Bitterfeld-Wolfen Chemical Park provided optimal infrastructure. Two years later four production lines werelaunched.
2001 – 2012 – Awards and Development
Two awards illustrate the company’s early history: In 2001 the state of Saxon-Anhalt awarded BNT their prestigious “Enterprise Award” acknowledging their successful launch and in 2012 they received the region’s” Innovation Prize” having created some 70 jobs and achieving double-digit annual growth.
2012 – 2014 – TIB Subsidiary
TIB Chemicals took over the company at the end of 2014 and crucial impetus was given to establishing a sustainable market niche.
2018 – Joining IBU-tec Group
In June 2018, IBU-tec advanced materials AG acquired all shares in BNT. With a rededication to service, product portfolioexpansion and chemical-specific infrastructurethe foundation for the strong, sustainable development of BNT as a leader in the organometals world was established.
